Japanese drinking party

This Friday we were invited to a traditional Japanese drinking party which IKEA had arranged to say goodbye for a co-worker  and welcoming the new internship girls!
The restaurant was located  in our home town of Shim Matsudo. (It´s custom to take off your shoes in many restaurants). We were guided to a little room with 2 tables that was sunken into the floor. Totally beautiful!
Our staff were round 20 people, all from IKEA! We started off with appetizers. Sashimi, tofu and salad. Everybody was amazed with our chopstick skills.
In the middle of the tables on little gas stoves, was large pots filled with cabbage, mushrooms and meat. We cooked it and enjoyed the food while other meals entering our little room. Grilled fish, chicken and croquettes.  Finally the waiter entered with noodles and raw eggs. We put it in the pots and made a new dish.
Once again it was the best day ever, and we are truly loving every minute of this trip! When you spend time with your co-workers outside  the working place you get  to know them on a  personal level. And we must say that these people are so nice and interesting. We love our new friends!
